New Win!

Hey! I just beat a 1901 player! I'm a lowly 1700! Exciting game, with initiative playing a key factor, in my opinion. For some reason, I started to think about what I would need to do if I was using the Silman thinking process, and initiative was the biggest concern.

I'll come back and annotate it tomorrow. Boy, what a fun game.

Winning Streak (Again)

Well, I have finally had time to play some chess again. I haven't done any studying at all, but I have noticed that my openings are getting much better. I remember lines now many moves in, which is encouraging. It's helping me to set up better positions, putting me in good hands for the middlegame. As soon as APs are over, I should be able to play more chess and get some studying in. Until then, my presence will be limited.

My Problem With Thought Processes

As Blue Devil has posted about his thought process recently (see his post here), I thought it would be appropriate to talk about my one big problem with applying thought processes. It comes down to this: I can't apply the process every move. I am able to apply the process for a few moves, but then I revert to my previous way of playing. Does anyone have any tips on how to apply the though process throughout the game? I would love any feedback on the topic. Thanks.
