Day 231 - Better Rating!

I have been playing on FICS quite frequently, and my rating has risen to an all-time high of 1693. I have been beating 1700 and low-1800 players recently. I feel that I am more confident and make better moves than I used to. The real weak spot in my game is the endgame, though. I have gotten suggestions from some of the players on FICS, such as Evan's book, and the one by Muller. If anyone else has suggestions for good endgame books, please let me know. Thanks a bunch.

Hey, I registered on GameKnot and it's been nearly 5 hours but I have not received any confirmation email from them. Without this, I can't play on GameKnot. Shucks.

Satishtalim, that is strange. that didn't occur with me. You could try registering again. It would be too bad if that didn't work out for you.

Nezha, I'll play you whenever we are on at the same time, if you would like. A long one, like 45 45, or something might be good.

I tried registering with 3 different email ids, but no luck so far. Their confirmation email just does not arrive!

Maybe it is because you are in India. I don't know... SOrry that it hasn't worked. It really is a great site. If you wanted, I could ask about it for you.

Sure, please do try and find out if possible. In case I can't register on GameKnot and ItsYourTurn has crashed, how about playing correspondence chess somewhere else?

Alburt's book " Just the Facts" is a classic on endgames and very popular...

Also more for advanced players around rating 2000+USCF I reccomend Dvoretsky's book.
